The next day Deborah tried to pull her disappearing act again, but Aviva would hear nothing about it; they had to submit the final draft of the Gutmann proposal the next day and they weren’t even halfway through. So she reluctantly took her things and sat in front of Aviva, just like any other day.
‘We’ve already lost enough time with your vanishing yesterday, now lets get to work!” she chirped happily.
Deborah sighed deeply and went out to get some air. If she was going to finish that proposal today, she had to be concentrated and…
‘Oh dear Lord’, she muttered when she entered back to the office. Aviva was standing there with her shirt open, buttoning the lower buttons, leaving her bra exposed and Deborah in aroused, stupefied shock. She turned around quickly to exit the room when Aviva stopped her.
“Don’t worry, dear, you don’t have to leave, I’m almost done. I spilled coffee on my shirt so I had to change it. Thanks God I always have a spare in the office.”
Deborah’s grip on the door handle hardened, leaving her knuckles white. She had her eyes closed hard and tried counting backwards from 500 to cleanse the image from her mind. She had spent months imagining those breasts and now she could actually see them. Even under the bra they looked beautiful and she wanted nothing more than to put her hands and mouth on them and lick them until Aviva was screaming and writhing in pleasure.
“I’ll be right back, I have to give the dirty shirt to the driver so he can take it home,” Aviva said, exiting the office like nothing had just happened. With all the mixed signals Aviva was sending, Deborah’s brain and body was going haywire.
Deborah stuck her forehead against the door several times until she heard Aviva’s footsteps approaching back to the office. She had no choice but to follow her and start working on the proposal. Even though she could cut the sexual tension with a knife, after a few gestures of innocent teasing, Aviva behaved and dedicated her attention exclusively to the culmination of the proposal.
Lunchtime came and went and neither Aviva nor Deborah moved from their office, until a deep growl from Deborah’s stomach interrupted the silence.
“Come on, let’s get something to eat. I’m sick of this office, I need to ventilate,” Aviva said, standing up.
“No,” Deborah replied with determination, though she immediately regretted it when she saw Aviva’s smile disappear. “I mean… it’s okay, I’ll just stay here and finish this, don’t worry about me.”
“Oh. But… ok, never mind,” Aviva said, not even trying to conceal her disappointment. She grabbed her purse and immediately exited the office.
No more than three minutes passed when Deborah’s cellphone rang, displaying Aviva’s funny picture and the ‘Twilight Zone’ ringtone Deborah set for her.
“You miss me already?” Deborah greeted with a chuckle, immediately slapping herself for being so daring.
“Of course I do, sweetie!” Aviva announced she was going to buy them both something light for lunch so they could eat in the office together.
The rest of the evening passed uneventfully, and they were both so immersed in their jobs, they didn’t notice the hour until Aviva’s alarm rang, indicating it was time to take her pills before she went to bed.
“Dear God, look at the hour! Nathan is going to kill me; he probably had to feed the children by himself!” She called him immediately and assured him that she would be home in half an hour, after she dropped Deborah off.
“You really don’t have to do that,” Deborah tried to tell her to no avail, because she was already being pushed outside of the trade center and inside Aviva’s car.
“What’s the matter with you?” Aviva asked, after a few minutes of driving in uncomfortable silence.
“Nothing,” she answered, looking out of the window.
“Deborah,” Aviva said sternly, the sound of her employee’s name suddenly heavy and foreign in her mouth. “Tell me what’s wrong; you’ve been acting weird for a while.”
Deborah refused to answer. She just sat there in silence until she could see her profile building in the distance. The car suddenly came to a halt, telling Deborah all she needed to know. Her skin was prickling and her blood was running faster through her body: she made the decision. She faced the other woman, butterflies swarming inside her stomach as her temperature shot up. Without hesitation, she grabbed Aviva’s face and kissed her hard.
Aviva gasped, muffled by Deborah’s lips, and returned the kiss with equal force.
Just like it started, it ended. Before Deborah could think, or before Aviva could process what had just happened and decide this was Deborah’s last day of work, Deborah opened the door and ran the few blocks that separated her from her apartment.

Celebrating 10 Years & Marking the End of An Amazing Project
The Jewrotica event “Evening of Jewrotica: Bedside Reading” was awesome. As Master of Confessions, I got to read the deepest, darkest secrets of people in the room out loud… It was scintillating, titillating, and – yes – even educational!
My opinion on Jewrotica is: It’s sexy. It’s awesome. It’s Judaism to the next level. It’s what we should all be getting into!
I stepped out of my comfort zone to be a part of this. I was glad to open up the topic of sexuality in my community. We are trying to build a safe space to talk about sex. The result I am most happy about coming from this event is that hopefully now my friends know they can come and talk to me, that I can be their ‘safe space’.
Jewrotica is a great way to ask interesting questions about the interplay between sensuality and Jewish wisdom. Check it out.
Jewrotica is awesome. It expands the mind and for people who were raised with narrow views on sexuality. Whether you are Jewish or not, or in different sects of Judaism like Orthodox, Conservative or Reform, no matter what your background or where you’re from, Jewrotica gets you to see Judaism and how it relates to sexuality in new ways. I really appreciate Ayo being here and helping us learn different ways to connect with our sexuality.
While many people fear the “sex talk,” Jewrotica offers an opportunity for writers and audiences to speak about sexuality in a open and safe space. When I attended a Jewrotica reading, I heard stories that reminded me that love takes many forms, and that expressing it is a vital part of who we are as a people.
Bedside Reading with Jewrotica was funny, sexy, and hot all at once. The readings were honest about all kinds of sexuality, but the highlight of the evening was definitely the confessions, written by audience participants. Nobody knew who wrote them, and most were tell-alls that would make your bubbe blush. Unless your bubbe was very, very cool. Then maybe she’d make YOU blush!
Such an amazing experience! The Sarah Lawrence Jewrotica workshop was more than I could have ever expected – a comfortable, safe, sultry environment where participants clearly felt good about sharing or listening to each other’s intimate experiences and relating them to sexy stories from the Torah. From the moment the workshop began, Ayo had a sweet presence that was kinetic and spread around the room; her storytelling abilities had everyone enraptured and made the conversation topics relata… Read more
You may not tell your mom that you’re going to a live Jewrotica reading (or whatever clever name you will dub these events) but you will tell your friends. However, both would be jealous if they find out that they missed it. I think it will only be a matter of time before Jewrotica helps us reclaim the term “Dirty Jew” the way rap music has done for “The ‘N’ Word.” I know I am now proud to be a Dirty Jew!
Jewrotica is inspiring Jews and erotica with holiness and coolness, and is the pride of progressive Judaism. Jewrotica – awesome!
