Although a strong desire for sex is considered unfeminine in Western society, women can desire sex as much as men do. When presented with the option of sex with an attractive stranger, 100% of men and 97% of women in one study were enthusiastic about going for it. Slut shaming and fear of assault prevent women from pursuing encounters as often as they would like. Stress, such as pressure from work, can diminish the sex drives of both men and women. This can lead to a mismatch between the sex drives of partners. Open communication and patient understanding can help couples resolve unequal libidos.

Statistics from 2017 show increased porn consumption by women on XHamster and PornHub. The tally of women viewing content on XHamster increased 2.4% worldwide and 11% in Saudi Arabia. With women constituting 26% of XHamster’s viewers, there is still a gender gap on the website. Females accounted for 49% of the Superbowl audience that year, and women paid more attention to the game than men did. Maybe it’s time for more videos on porn websites featuring muscular men wrestling in spandex. No matter what it may be, viewers who have their access blocked to these sites can still discover how to unblock pornhub and other similar websites to view their content.

With such an innate desire for intimacy with partners, society needs only to remove barriers in order to make the magic happen. A tolerant, live and let live attitude shields women from slut shaming, and a reliable court system for prosecuting assailants protects them from assault. Economic factors that keep overworked employees from reserving time for partners are more difficult to address on a societal level, but let’s just say, there’s a reason the hours of operation for Jerusalem’s First Station sparked such emotional debate.
