Searching Diligently (Bedikat Hametz*)
I begin my search,
Using the lightest of touches:
A feather, a breath, a look, a sigh.
Starting at your feet
and working my way up;
Starting at your head
and working my way down.
Between each toe,
Behind each ear,
Around each curve,
Under each stroke,
Across silky smooth surfaces,
I gently search out your pleasure.
And whenever I find some,
Revealed by a giggle,
An intake of air,
I take my time to diligently probe,
To delve into the secrets
Of your hidden desire.
*Bedikat Hametz is the search for any leftover pieces of bread or other leavened food that takes place the night before Pesach. This symbolic ritual is traditionally done with a feather and a candle, and involves looking in all the corners of the house for signs of crumbs. In order to make the search more realistic pieces of bread are hidden by the children of the house to be found by the parents.
