It’s that classic question: What are your New Year’s resolutions?
Earlier this week, each Jewrotica team member took a few moments to appreciate the past year and reflect on our hopes for 2013. We wish for you, dear readers, a new year filled with love, family, friends, compassion, gratitude and mindfulness!
Ayo: I never really got into New Year’s resolutions but, taking a page from the holiday, I started taking on Rosh HaShana resolutions a few years back. (The alliteration for R”H resolutions is way better anyway…) My favorite Rosh HaShana resolution that I’ve kept has been to speak out the compliments that I think, and this resolution has brought many a genuine smile to the faces of those around me.
David: Golly. Uhm. I resolve to never go to bad parties again! Also I resolve to be a better man. How’s that?
Adi: My resolution, as it is every year, is to read 100 books by next January and to master vegetarian Sephardic cooking. (If you’ve got recipes, dear readers, I’m all ears!)
Larisa: My resolution is for a little bit more music and a little bit less 9-5 schedule.
Mara: My new years resolution is to finish writing a book and spend as much time as possible with my two children who are growing up way to fast!
Tamar: Ask for what I want more, and be open to not getting it.
Karalyn: To live out more of the fantasies I write about!
Limor: Open up body and soul to recreational pleasure in your quest of any titillating expedition sans (Oy) guilt and inhibitions…
What are your resolutions for 2012?
