PG-13When I gaze at your face
Through the myriad of tiny lights,
My breath is sucked from inside out,
My heart beats double time,
My body vibrates a dozen chords higher,
For I see the perfection of the moon
Mirroring the light of the brilliant sun;
I see the reflection of the Infinite One
Gazing back at me through you.
I’ve seen You. I see You. I’ll see You.

I see Your eyes like myrtle leaves –
Sparkling with the wisdom of ages:
With softness and compassion,
With laughter and content,
With a longing and a passion
That awakens every cell in yearning
To be in Your arms, enveloped by Your gaze.

I am a late-comer to poetry especially Jewish-laced love poetry. In the last two years I have written about 50 such poems that I am now trying to publish under the title - The Metaphysics of Love. They are about love - love for women as a metaphor for the Divine love - sometimes employing very erotic images inspired by the Song of Songs and Kabbalistic literature.
