Chanukah Lube 2

So, aside from good old-fashioned saliva, what other good lubricants are there? There are plenty of choices! Lubricants typically come in three categories: silicone-based (lasts longer than water-based lube and is better for anal sex), water-based (rinses off the skin easily; it’s inexpensive and easy to find), or flavored (usually water-based with flavor added and best for oral sex).

If you are using condoms to prevent pregnancy and/or sexually transmitted infections, it’s CRITICAL to NOT use any type of oil-based lubricant (such as Vaseline, hand lotion, sun-tan lotion, whipped cream, and so on) because the oil can wear down the latex in condoms, causing it to break. That’s something we all want to avoid! So, check out the following list of lubricants, which are all compatible with latex condoms. Lubricants can cause irritation so be sure to test on a small area of your skin before first-time use.

8 Lubricants to Make This Hanukkah More Sensual

  1. Tried and True. K-Y Brand Jelly is a gentle, water-based, non-greasy, fragrance-free lubricant.
  2. Turn up the heat. K-Y Warming Liquid is used to enhance comfort and produce a warming sensation.
  3. Doing it organic style. Astroglide Natural is an all-natural, organic lubricant that is alcohol and fragrance free.
  4. Yeah Baby. Pre-Seed is a fertility-friendly lubricant designed to provide safe lubrication that does not harm sperm.
  5. Oh Natural. Just Like Me is a lubricant designed to be pH balanced with a mild and gentle formula.
  6. Wet n Wild. Wet Platinum is a silicone-based lubricant that can be used in water and has a good consistency for massage too.
  7. Flavorful. With a variety of favors, Wet Fun Flavors adds a new dimension to oral sex. (Flavored lubricant is not recommended for vaginal or anal sex.)
  8. Analyse Me. Pjur Analyse Me was created to increase pleasure during anal sex.

Here’s an important FYI: Lubrication during anal sex is especially important because the anus is not self-lubricating like the vagina. Anal sex without lubrication can be risky since the mucus membranes are sensitive to friction and the skin can tear, increasing one’s risk to contact a sexually transmitted infection. A silicone-based lubricant is recommended since it lasts longer than water-based lube.

Chanukah Lube 1

It’s a Fact:

Guys: Did you know that adding just a few drops (remember a little goes a long way) of lube inside the condom can increase pleasure a whole lot more?!

Ladies: A study by sexual health researchers at Indiana University found that women who used lubricant during sex reported significantly higher levels of satisfaction and pleasure.

So, what’s the overall message here? To enhance your pleasure these eight nights of Hanukkah, get out your oil for a stimulating massage and your bottle of lubricant for silky smooth sex. Keep the fires burning bright-on both your menorah and in your bedroom.

Happy Hanukkah!
